From December 9th, some of our volunteers in program are part of the painting project at one of the best day cares of Liberia. Its name is “Kidztown”. Volunteers are helping from Monday to Friday during 9 am to 11am; the purpose of this is to beautify the place in which many children are part taking.

On August 6th Projects Abroad started with English Lessons for adults in Liberia city. Many people were interesting to participate and be part of the group, that’s why we have now 2 different groups of for beginners and an intermediate group for people with a bit more English knowledge.

One of them was painting the soccer court, which consisted on help the college court at one of the placements that Projects Abroad works within the city; the name of this college is “Colegio Tecnico Profesional de Liberia”.

Not finding anything, she managed to get a bank loan of approximately $ 1.000 to set up a small shop where she could sell chorreados (a typical Costa Rican type of tortilla made from corn).

The Project started on January 3rd and will be finished until middle of February when schools open again.
