Where we are based in India
Kochi
When it comes to voluntary work in India, all of our projects are based in Kochi, a beautiful city in India's Kerala state. This cosmopolitan city is known for its palm-lined beaches, coastal harbour, and a network of canals spanning the city called the Backwaters.
Inland, you’ll find the Western Ghats, a mountain range whose slopes support tea, coffee, and spice plantations, as well as wildlife. It’s perfect for the adventurous spirit looking to get out into nature. During your travels, you’ll come across national parks and other sanctuaries that are home to elephants, langur monkeys, and tigers. It’s truly a sight to behold.
If you’d prefer to stick to the cities while volunteering in India, then the urban areas of Kerala will delight your senses. The organised chaos of buses and taxis, the colourful stalls that line the streets, and the fragrant smells that seep out from local restaurants will draw you in. You can spend your free time bartering at local markets, enjoying the warm coastal waters on the beach, and eating your fill of some of the most delicious Indian food in the country.
